Council seeks views on freight in Central Bedfordshire
The council is asking for views on its draft Freight Strategy, which sets out its approach to managing freight movement in Central Bedfordshire.
The strategy aims to support the freight and logistics sector whilst minimising the negative impacts movements can have on residential communities, and to encourage freight movements to be as sustainable as possible.
The Freight Strategy will be out for public consultation for six weeks and you can take part by visiting the council’s consultation webpage.
The consultation will close at 10am, 20 December 2024.
Cllr John Baker, Executive Member for Highways at Central Bedfordshire Council, said: “This updated strategy is about how we plan to manage freight movement across Central Bedfordshire, supporting the needs of local businesses whilst mitigating the impacts on local communities.
