Just go motorhomes invest £500k in move to Central Bedfordshire

Just go Motorhomes, the UK’s largest self-drive motorhome hire fleet has invested £500,000 a move to a new depot in Toddington – with Central Bedfordshire Council supporting the relocation that will bring jobs to the area.
The local authority’s ongoing commitment to key strategic infrastructure, which includes improved transportation links, offered the expanding company an attractive package of business support to speed their move into larger premises at Redhill Farm Toddington.
HM Lord-Lieutenant of Bedfordshire, Helen Nellis, officially opened the new Just go Motorhomes depot last month and, after organising a recruitment open day, the Council’s Business Support team are now supporting Just go to recruit up to 40 seasonal employees that they will require for their busiest time over the summer months.
Cllr Nigel Young, Executive Member for Regeneration at Central Bedfordshire Council, said: “This really is fantastic news for our area and for local people who stand to benefit from the new jobs created by this exciting move.
“As a council we’re keen to encourage businesses to relocate to Central Bedfordshire and take advantage of the benefits our area has to offer. We were very pleased to support Just go with their move here and were able to offer them help, through our relocation support service, to make the move as smooth as possible. I wish them every success in their future plans.”
The Lord-Lieutenant of Bedfordshire, Mrs Nellis, said: "I was very impressed by this entrepreneurial business and the lively and creative owners who have developed this exciting organisation. It is marvelous that they have chosen to locate in Central Bedfordshire because of strong support from the Council, excellent transport links and easy access to a great workforce.”
Nick Roach, director of Just go, said: “We were thrilled to have our depot officially opened by HM Lord-Lieutenant of Bedfordshire, Helen Nellis. The Just go staff have worked tirelessly to transform the site into a fully operational depot which will facilitate over 15,000 hire days this year.”
Just go employs 22 full time staff, and Mr Roach added: “Now we have the space, we will be rapidly expanding the business and we will be looking to recruit full, part-time and seasonal staff to help us achieve this.”
