Let's Create Jubilee Fund
In 2022 Her Majesty The Queen will become the first British Monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee marking 70 years on the throne. In celebration of this landmark event Arts Council England (ACE) is investing over £4 million across England to fund creative and cultural activities as part of the celebrations.
The ‘Let’s Create Jubilee Fund’ will provide grants of £750 to £10,000 for organisations to deliver creative and cultural activities and projects in their communities across Bedfordshire and Luton.
What kind of projects will be funded?
The fund is open to voluntary and community organisations with charitable aims and working towards a common goal which does not have to be based solely around arts and culture. Applicants are, however, expected to partner with an artist, creative or cultural organisation that has been in receipt of ACE funding within the last 4 years, especially those applying for £5000 and above.
Projects and activities can focus on a broad range of artforms including music, dance, theatre, literature and visual arts. Museum and library activities and combined arts including festivals and carnivals will also be considered.
As a minimum all funded projects must:
- Focus on creative and cultural activity
- Engage with at least one of the artforms that Arts Council England supports
- Be high-quality and inclusive in their approach
- Culminate in June 2022
Projects can begin from Friday 1st April 2022 to allow preparations and rehearsals to take place. Public-facing activities should take place in June, near or during the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Weekend from Thursday 2nd – Sunday 5th June 2022.
