Students visit G-Park, Biggleswade

Earlier this month 17 students from Sandy Upper School went on a work place visit to G-Park in Biggleswade.
The students had a short presentation on arrival which gave them background information on the process leading up to the construction of the large warehouses, as well as the various careers and employment opportunities involved in the wider construction and development process outside of the normal “builder on site”.
They then had a tour of the site and were able to see the buildings, learn about the construction process and some of the techniques used, as well as hearing about the ecological elements, including the rain water harvesting used on site.
The visit was thoroughly enjoyed and proved to be an informative visit .
The school thanked Lysander and Gazeley, the companies involved in hosting the visit.
