Transport Minister visits Central Bedfordshire

The Transport Minister, Andrew Jones MP, visited Highways England's A5-M1 Link site last Thursday to see progress with the scheme.
Cllr Nigel Young toured the site with the Minister and then gave media who were in attendance a tour of the Woodside Link scheme. They saw first-hand how the road will link the Porz Avenue roundabout to a new M1 motorway junction, taking heavy vehicles off local roads and making Houghton Regis and Dunstable even better places to do business.
Both the A5-M1 Link and Central Bedfordshire Council's Woodside Link are scheduled to open in spring 2017.
