Dunstable based Whitbread plc have won the 2018 PLC Award for Transformation of the Year.  The PLC Awards allow publicly quoted companies the chance to be rewarded and recognised for their successes and achievements. 

The Transformation of the Year Award recognises companies that have transformed themselves in a way likely to save or substantially improve the business with judges looking for increased profitability and sustainable financial results.  Whitbread beat off stiff competition from six other shortlisted businesses including GlaxoSmithKline and John Menzies.   Whitbread’s Nick Cadbury, Group Finance Director and Daren Lowry, Director of Secretariat and Insurance, were presented their award by BBC Breakfast’s Louise Minchin at the award’s dinner at the Grosvenor House, London.
